Cell Line Authentication Service
STR (Short Tandem Repeat) genotyping is one of the most effective and accurate methods for detecting cell cross-contamination and confirming identity. In 2011, the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) established the human cell line STR authentication standard (ASN 0002: Authentication of Human Cell Lines: Standardization of STR Profiling), recommending STR genotyping as the standard for cell line authentication. The STR profiling results are cross-referenced with databases maintained by ATCC and NCBI (e.g., BioSample), as well as international repositories like Cellosaurus (Switzerland), DSMZ (Germany), and JCRB (Japan).

This cell line authentication service uses the GenePrint 24 System (Promega) kit. The GenePrint 24 System offers the following features:
✨A 24 locus multiplex STR amplification system targeting human genomic loci—significantly more than the 13 loci recommended by ATCC—greatly enhancing discrimination confidence.
✨Including the locus, Amelogenin for gender determination. In addition, the male-specific DYS391 locus is included to identify null Y allele results for Amelogenin.
✨A five-color fluorescent system allows co-amplification and fluorescent detection of the all loci.
✨Optimized to amplify all 24 STR loci in a single PCR reaction, reducing sample requirements and turnaround time.

Accepted sample formats:
(1) Cell Pellet: Number of cells ≥ 1*10^6
(2) Genomic DNA: Concentration ≥ 50 ng/μl、Volume ≥ 10 μl、A260/A280 ratio is between 1.6 and 2.0
(3) FTA Card: Diameter is 1.2mm

Strain Identification

Advantages of Strain Identification Service :
1. Genetic identification methods analyze bacterial 16S and fungal ITS, capable of identifying at the "species" level.
2. Both agar plates and liquid cultures of individual strains are applicable. Genomic DNA of microorganisms can also be submitted for identification.
3. Reports are generated within 5 working days upon sample receipt.
4. A dedicated data management system is available for customers to download files.
